Sanden to attend IAA show in Hanover, Germany

Leading automotive compressor manufacturer Sanden International has confirmed attendance once again at the upcoming IAA trade-show in Hanover, Germany, from the 20-27th September, 2018.

Established in 1943, Sanden began as a manufacturer of dynamo bicycle lamps, after identifying a gap in the market during World War II. Formerly known as Sankyo Electric Company, the business became known for slogans such as ‘second sight in the night’, and a distinctive owl trademark.

By 1970, Sankyo Electric Company had started to produce air conditioning compressors for automotive, and a few years later, introduced the Scroll-type automotive compressor into the market. With this pivotal development came a new corporate identity – Sanden.

As Sanden continued to go from strength to strength, it opened European and U.S based offices all over the world. In addition, bases for logistics and manufacturing were established in Europe. Today, Sanden is a major player in the manufacturing of both passenger and large capacity automotive compressors and vending machines.

Sanden will showcase a range of the most popular compressor models for truck and bus, including those from the co-branded portfolio with fellow manufacturer Unicla, who has partnered with Sanden to provide larger capacity compressors for the public transport, refrigeration, marine, agricultural and mining industries. Sanden’s automotive electric compressor model will also be displayed. In addition, Sanden manufactures a range of HVAC system components, such as high quality condensers and evaporators.
